    1. Positively ChargedRoane County FFA Chapter participated in the WV Small Farms Conference Business Plan Competition. Out of the 10 teams that participated in the state, 6 of them were from Roane County. The following students were recognized for their participation: Isabelle Michael, Caroline Greenleaf, Katie Cummings, Kayley King, Macy Burdette, Kaley Greathouse, Hailey Webster, Emilea Greathouse, Garrett Simon, Luke Smith, Ben Greathouse, Levi Hunt, Lakin Strickland, Lucas Shouldis, Mason Davidson and JD Painter Caroline Greenleaf won 3rd place; Lakin Strickland and JD Painter won 1st place.
    2. Guest Presentation: Career ConnectionsAlisa Nichols and Emily Hays-Miller, from Career Connections, presented on an employment and training program for 16-24 year olds.
    3. 2020-21 School Calendar (Meeting 2 of 2)Mr. Mace tabled this item to be reviewed again at a later meeting.
    4. Public ParticipationCharles David Carpenter and Bus Operator Patty May expressed concerns on possible changes for 2020-21 school year.

  7. Superintendent's Remarks1. We've looked into the option to feed senior citizens in the community. Though there is no direct funding for that purpose, at one of our neighboring counties, a community center did have funding for this purpose and used that funding to purchase meals from the schools at the adult rate. 2. Bills 852 and 853 have recently been introduced. The 2 bills will give an additional $37 million in funding to the SBA for the current fiscal year. Though it is unclear what the purpose of these funds are, it should free up monies to fund more projects for the future.
