- Reports of Committees
- Roane-Jackson Technical Center Administrative Council (3/16/2021)There was an executive session concerning some potential personnel issue. Also, since RJTC is not an LEA and does not receive much of the direct funding that we receive, they will instead be receiving a $100,000 grant from ESSERF 2. In the summer, we hope to showcase the opportunities RJTC offers to our students.
- Superintendent's RemarksMany various bills are coming up in legislature. The ESA/Charter school bill is finishing up. There is a bill that allows the small counties under 1400 to be funded for no less than 1200 students. There are also a number of bills that inject subjects into the curriculum, or making changes to graduation requirements. These will be important to watch. I presented to the SBA for our SMS funding. On April 19th, the SBA will be meeting to decide funding. Out of the $234 million requests, many are new. We hope third time is a charm for us.
