- Reports of Committees
- Superintendent's RemarksSpent time at RCHS to observe and survey the parking situation earlier this week. Superintendents and representatives from different trades groups met with Bill Monterosso, Executive Director at Workforce Development Board. We've asked them to come to the schools to showcase the many different options students have. They've asked us to send quality candidates that want to learn and take advantage of this opportunity. They plan to use Oculus VR gadgets to train students in the various fields. I will be in Greenbrier County during the first part of the week for our first conference of personnel directors in nearly 2 years. There will be many questions, mostly revolving on how we get more people. Representatives from Dinsmore and Bowles Rice will present on the current legal issues. The statewide meeting for Superintendents will be in Wheeling and on Thursday I have been invited to represent small counties in a panel concerning communications. There were some concerns at the last board meeting that I have not been able to fully address yet, but we should hopefully get to present on them in another future meeting.
