   1. Positively ChargedAll-State athletes from spring sports were recognized. In softball, Mahailey Nicholson received an Honorable Mention and Lacy Mitchell made 2nd Team. In track, Marissa Landis placed 6th in pole vault at the State Track Meet. Energy Express started today while Summer SOLE starts tomorrow. Thanks to the teachers and mentors who have been working hard to prepare for that. Greg Boggs was also recognized for his service to Roane County Schools over the years during his final regular BOE meeting.

7. Superintendent's RemarksFor construction, the field is coming along well. Most of the base turf is down, with the logos and designs of colored turf. For the next steps with Thrasher, the new SMS is at the top of the list. The pre-bid meeting attracted 3 major contractors and 1 small volume contractor. It was requested that the bid opening be delayed so that contractors have more time to work over the plans, so bid opening will now be on July 14th. The old SMS entrance and the nurses station at WEMS are now finished.The only ongoing project right now along with the new SMS, is the paving/lighting project at GEMS. The drainage issues are still going to be addressed there. Paving and lighting at RCHS will be addressed soon. The paving portion may be delayed for the new SMS but the lighting will be addressed before this Fall.
