- RCHS FBLA Request - "FBLA Week" for February 11 - 17, 2024Motion by Dennis Carpenter and seconded by James Minney to proclaim February 11-17, 2024, as National FBLA Week. Motion carried. (6:10 pm)
- Public ParticipationParent, Melinda Parkins, and student, Addison Parkins, expressed their concerns about the graduation requirements in policy 223 - Program of Study for High School (Grades 9 through 12). RCHS parent Amanda Hively and RCHS students Ella Wilson and Braxton Nichols voiced their concerns about internet issues and Policy 490 - Acceptable Use of Technology by Students. RCHS parent Brad Nichols expressed a safety concern with the intercom not properly working. GEMS Principal Lorra Tanner informed the board of the resolutions to the misunderstanding that was brought before the board at a previous meeting.

- Roane-Jackson Technical Center Administrative Council (1/18/2024)There are now commitments from Roane General Hospital and Jackson General Hospital to pay supplements for the nurse instructors, granting them each an additional salary on top of the Jackson County scale, effective July 1, 2024.
- Annual BRIM Inspection ReportsBRIM is now using Tawney Insurance to do their inspections instead of AIG. Since lockdown procedures include covering windows and locking doors, many teachers keep the windows covered and doors locked at all times, but due to concerns with abuse and neglect, BRIM has recommended that all door windows remained uncovered and any doors without windows be replaced.
- Superintendent's RemarksWe had a visit from CMTA, who walked us through all 5 schools for an energy audit in hopes that we may pursue an energy savings contract in the future.
