- Tour of the new Spencer Middle SchoolAmanda Cheuvront of The Thrasher Group and Beau Henderson and Brian Craig of City Construction led a tour of the new Spencer Middle School and later thanked the Board for the partnership that has made the construction of this new facility possible.
- Positively ChargedAppalachian Vision Outreach Program (AVOP) conducted a free eye exam event at SMS for students. Over 130 students received a free exam and over 100 will receive new glass for only a $20 co-pay.
