    1. Positively ChargedMrs. Craddock's (SMS) and Mrs. Smith (GEMS) classrooms were visited by Seth Skiles, the 2025 West Virginia Teacher of the Year, who is doing a 55-county tour.
    2. Public ParticipationJeremiah Hively (RCHS Custodian) spoke concerning his working conditions. Kacie Holcomb (GEMS Aide V), Lauren Lawson (GEMS LPN/Aide), Patty Proctor (GEMS parent), Justin Shears (GEMS parent), Amber Osborne(GEMS Teacher), Terri Myers(GEMS grandparent), John Proctor(GEMS parent), Nate Jett(parent), and Rachael Hays (WEMS parent) spoke concerning the financial recovery and personnel realignment for 2025-26. Ben Hays (RCHS Agriculture Teacher) spoke concerning his maintenance concerns Brandi Workman (RCHS Business Ed Teacher) recognized RCHS students and the 18 new inductees into the National Honor Society: Laci Cox, Addison Hersman, Kacie Mace, Lexi Mitchell, William Odle, Emma Sloan, Lily Smith, Anna Tolley, Addison Wilson, Paige Blosser, Braylin Bowe, Madison Crihfield, Kinzley Freeland, Logan Hargus, Shay Harper, Kaley Thurman and Autumn CraftMotion by James Minney and seconded by Dennis Carpenter to suspend the rules for public participation, as per Roane County Schools Policy 020.     1. Roane Jackson Technical Center Administrative Council (2/18/2025)There are some concerns on a possible shift of funding from tech centers to adult education. The new building is progressing and we hope to see the foundation in soon.2. WVU Extension Service (2/17/2025) Mr. Harper presented that Ms. Brabham will be presenting her budget to us in a meeting soon.
  7. Superintendent's RemarksWatch legislature, watch what's going on and keep working on state grants. It looks like they won't open up the state aid formula until next year. We've received grants recently for a new dishwasher at SES, $14,000 for communication upgrades, and $25,000 for professional development to address needs in math.
