2. Conduct public hearing for the proposed closure of Geary and Walton Elementary Middle Schools and the consolidation of their grades K-5 into Spencer Elementary, and their grades 6-8 into Spencer Middle School and the consolidation of Pre-K students from all schools into the space now occupied by the Office of Student Support Services at Roane County High School
   1. Public ParticipationCorrie Ota set the public participation sign-in sheet out at 4:30 pm and it was removed at 5:00 pm. The following members of the public spoke and asked questions/shared concerns regarding the proposed closure of Geary and Walton Elementary Middle Schools: Joe Weiland, Tiffany Raines, Wendy Looney, Cindy Berry, Gemini Carpenter, Chad Perkins, Justin Shears, Madison Sergent, Sheila Chapman, Shelli Ellis, Steve Ellis, Linda Ashley, Lisa Messineo, Ashley Glaspell, Gabe Boggs, Rachel Hays, Sierra Thaxton, Nona Perkins and Makynlee Patton.
3. Adjournment
   1. Adjourn until the special board meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 5:00 pm at Geary Elementary Middle School. The next regular board meeting is on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Roane County High School.Motion by Dennis Carpenter and seconded by James Minney to approve. Motion carried. (8:00 pm)
