- Election of Officers
- PresidentEileen Richardson nominated James Minney for Board President and was seconded by John Gray. Terry Miller nominated Daris Harper for Board President and was seconded by Eileen Richardson. John Gray moved to close nominations, seconded by Terry Miller. No vote was taken on the motion. James Minney and Daris Harper recused themselves from the discussion and voting and left the room. A vote was taken on the nomination of James Minney for Board President. Nomination failed. Terry Miller and John Gray opposed. (7:09 pm) A vote was then taken on the nomination of Daris Harper for Board President. Nomination carried. Eileen Richardson opposed. (7:09 pm) The Board President elected to serve from July 6, 2026 through June 30, 2028 is Daris Harper.
- Vice PresidentJohn Gray nominated James Minney as Board Vice President and was seconded by Terry Miller. No other nominations were heard. James Minney recused himself from the discussion and vote and left the room. Motion carried. (7:11 pm) The Board Vice President elected to serve from July 6, 2026 through June 30, 2028 is James Minney.

- Roane-Jackson Technical Center Administrative CouncilJohn Gray was nominated as representative on the Roane Jackson Technical Center Administrative Council.
- Roane County WVU Extension Service CommitteeTerri Miller was nominated as representative on the Roane County WVU Extension Service Committee.

- Meeting Dates for the 2026-27 School Year, Fall SemesterMs. Stellato proposed 3 board meeting schedules for Fall 2026. discussion was held regarding meeting frequency, scheduling conflicts, statutory meeting requirements, administrative considerations, and the possibility of future meetings at school locations. Motion by Eileen Richardson and seconded by James Minney to approve. Motion carried. - New Business for Consideration and Potential Action
- Board consideration and action to declare that a portion of the property comprising the Geary Elementary/Middle School property, together with the improvements thereon and the appurtenances thereunto belonging, located at 9538 Clay Road, Left Hand, West Virginia 25251, is no longer needed for school purposes and authorize the Superintendent of Schools (or her designee) to obtain a survey of the portion of the property no longer needed for school purposes and take such other action as is appropriate to prepare said property for disposition in accordance with applicable law.Motion by John Gray and seconded by James Minney to to go into an executive session to discuss property matters as per WV Code 6-9A-4(b)(9). Motion carried. (6:28 pm)Motion by John Gray and seconded by Terry Miller to return to open session. Motion carried. No action was taken in closed session. (6:47 pm)Motion by James Minney and seconded by John Gray to declare that a portion of the Geary Elementary/Middle School property, together with the improvements thereon and the appurtenances thereunto belonging, located at 9538 Clay Road, Left Hand, West Virginia 25251, is no longer needed for school purposes and that the Superintendent (or her designee) is hereby authorized to obtain a survey to definitively determine the boundaries of such portion of the Geary Elementary/Middle School property that is no longer needed for school purposes and undertake such other action as appropriate to prepare said property for disposition in accordance with applicable law and that the Superintendent report back to the Board in order to obtain the Board's approval and ratification of the surveyed boundaries of the portion of the Geary Elementary/Middle School property which is no longer needed for school purposes and the Board's direction as to the method of disposition of such property in accordance with applicable law. Motion carried. (6:49 pm)
- Board consideration and action to declare that a portion of the property comprising Walton Elementary/Middle School property, together with the improvements thereon and the appurtenances thereunto belonging, located at 90 School Drive, Walton, West Virginia 25286, is no longer needed for school purposes and authorize the Superintendent of Schools (or her designee) to obtain a survey of the portion of the property no longer needed for school purposes and take such other action as is appropriate to prepare said property for disposition in accordance with applicable law.Motion by James Minney and seconded by Eileen Richardson to declare that a portion of the Walton Elementary/Middle School property, together with the improvements thereon and the appurtenances thereunto belonging, located at 90 School Drive, Walton, West Virginia 25286, is no longer needed for school purposes and that the Superintendent (or her designee) is hereby authorized to obtain a survey to definitively determine the boundaries of such portion of the Walton Elementary/Middle School property that is no longer needed for school purposes and undertake such other action as appropriate to prepare said property for disposition in accordance with applicable law and that the Superintendent report back to the Board in order to obtain the Board's approval and ratification of the surveyed boundaries of the portion of the Walton Elementary/Middle School property which is no longer needed for school purposes and the Board's direction as to the method of disposition of such property in accordance with applicable law.
