  1. Presentations
    1. Positively ChargedThe first ever Regional Science Fair was held recently. The Assistant Coordinator for Roane County, Theresa Parker, introduced the participants. All of the 11 entries from RCS placed within top 3 in their division. The following students were recognize for their participation: Allegra Keaton (1st place), Madison Parker (2nd place),team project by Emily Casto and Autumn Harper (1st place), Haley Burke, Addison Parkins, Haylee Springston, Kyleigh Wilson, Josie Cox, Katelyn Paxton, Eli McKinney, Ashtyn Wolfe
    2. Public ParticipationRachael Hays (parent of future RCS student) and WEMS teachers, Kris Starcher and Cindy Brown, expressed concerns on the personnel realignment for 2020-2021. Sarah Duncan, WEMS Teacher, expressed concerns on Covid-19 and our preparations for it.

Andrea Hays, Teacher / Kindergarten at Walton Elementary Middle SchoolMotion by Jeffrey Tanner and seconded by Gregory Boggs to go into closed session for a personnel hearing as per WV Code 6-9A-4(b)(2)(B).   5. Reports of CommitteesWVU Extension - A new agent was hired and was invited to a future board meeting here for an introduction. Also, they are building a new council circle at the 4-H grounds.
  6. Superintendent's RemarksWith the concerns on the spread of Covid-19, should Governor Justice close schools, we are making plans for distance learning and possibly delivering food to certain community areas for pick up.
