  6. Reports of CommitteesAt the Roane-Jackson Technical Center Administrative Council, we were given an update on the water plant issue. They plan to start construction in the Fall between Thanksgiving and Christmas instead of summer. Also, there are discussions about shared services dependent on the needs of the center and the 3 feeder schools. Some personnel changes and new programs are coming this summer. We should have more on that soon.
  7. Superintendent's RemarksWe should have plans for approval of the ARP ESSER funding at the next meeting and make our appointment to present to the Deputy State Superintendent and State Superintendent. For the next 3 years, it will cost $3M to continue spending on technology for all students and teachers, and continue with the Summer program and personnel for 3 years. The remaining $4.4M will be used for hiring further personnel, purchasing more technology and curriculum items and possible construction on outdoor spaces. We will look into paying for any needs for other construction with general funds while using these federal funds to pay for items normally spent with general funds. Roane County High School Graduation has now been moved to Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. due to expected weather conditions on Friday night.
