   1. Positively ChargedWelcome baby Violet Grace Keiffer to our team at Roane County Schools. The daughter of our Technology Coordinator, Bryan "Rick" Keiffer, was born today. WEMS student Phoenix Casto attended a STEM camp at the Marriott hotel outside Washington, D.C. last year, which was originally supposed to be held in Washington, D.C. Phoenix presented his programmable robot and showcased all the special features of his robot. Next year, he will be attending a STEM camp at Babson College in Massachusetts.
   2. Public ParticipationGrandparent, Connie Lupardus, requested information on grandparents raising their grandchildren.
   3. Division Spotlight: Student Support ServicesOur Student Support Services team introduced themselves and the services they provide us. Michele Ash( Director of Student Support Services), Autumn Burns (School Psychologist), Anna Shaffer (School Psychologist), Jessica Bailey (School Social Worker), Jennifer Warden (Therapist), and Donna Greathouse (Secretary) presented on their effort, which range from managing 504s, IEPs and SATs to assisting teachers with improving their effectiveness in the classroom and providing clothing to our students in need.

7. Reports of Committees
   1. Roane Jackson Technical Center Administrative Council (9/21/2021)An LPN student left the program due to an academic disqualification. Also another student still deciding on whether to take the vaccine. With all but 1 of the clinical sites now requiring vaccinations, nursing students will most likely be required to take the vaccine. There was also some discussions about the schedule for next year.
   2. Spencer Middle School Planning Committee (9/15/2021)We invited SMS staff to meet with Thrasher's architects at SMS to see an updated floor plan. We They were able to ask questions about some of the spaces. We should soon have a good floor plan to present and we can look to the SBA for feedback. One of the ideas was to have a greenhouse in the outdoor courtyard, but with the concerns for more need for outdoor space, they are looking instead into a plan for a rooftop greenhouse.
8. Superintendent's RemarksAt the current SMS, Thrasher and Boggs Roofing visited to plan the work for the old roof. Next would be the safe schools entrance, as well, which will just leave high school paving out of our original bond program.
