  2. Presentations
    1. Positively ChargedStudent-athletes who earned all-conference and/or all-state honors were recognized. The following were in attendance: For Volleyball, Mahailey Nicholson (1st Team LKC and 2nd team all state) and Piper Harlan(2nd team all state and 2nd team LKC) For Football, Raiders had an undefeated regular season and hosted 2 home playoff games. Skyler Delk (AA LKC Player of the Year, 1st team all state running back) Colton Paxton(1st Team all state, 1st Team LKC) Christian Jarvis(1st Team LKC, 2nd Team all state) Jacob Bunner(all state honorable mention and LKC honorable mention) Those recognized that were not present: Briar Begler (all state 2nd team Captain 2 years in a row) Shay Harper(all state 2nd team) Ory May(all state honorable mention) For Golf, Emerson Simons made state tournament all 4 years and placing 14th in the state playing against male and females, made LKC first team this year and LKC player of the year, and will be playing for Fairmont State next year.

  7. Reports of Committees
    1. Roane Jackson Technical Center Administrative Council (January 17, 2023)We approved programs of study for the following school year and have purchased a second tractor for the CDL program. We are still waiting on a bid package for the site work needed. Also, the multi-county vocational center bill is a big concern for the legislative session this year.
  8. Superintendent's RemarksThere is some construction work on the gas line in front of our board office right now. It is a mess, but we should have a new sidewalk soon. The State Economic Development Office has approved us to be a part of the phase 4 pilot for the electric school buses. It should start in mid-April. We will have a charging station and use the bus for free during this pilot and see how it goes from there.
