   1. Positively ChargedRoane County FFA Forestry and Poultry teams presented on their achievements at the National Convention in Indianapolis. The poultry team, represented by Lexie Mitchell, Elizabeth Greathouse, Kacie Mace and Alexis Burdette presented that they placed 9th in the nation. They also now are being sponsored to attend the Poultry Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. The forestry team representative, Libby Stricklen presented that she, along with team members, Lacy Mitchell, Sawyer Hunt and Emma Looney, placed 9th in the nation while Lacy Mitchell, placed 12th in the individual competition. Congratulations to all participants for representing Roane County and West Virginia.

8. Superintendent's RemarksWe are opening bids for our internet access contract next Friday. We hope to get some competitive bids there. We installed 4 network speakers at RCHS over Thanksgiving break. We heard from the LSIC concerning the intercom repair and we hope to get some SBA funding for that. I received a $20,000 quote for analog equipment, but it may be more beneficial to spend the $32,000 to update to networking speakers. An energy savings company will be doing a no risk assessment on our buildings to advise us on energy savings and will guarantee a certain amount of savings.
