- Positively ChargedWe want to recognize the community effort already being put into the former Board property on Madison Avenue where a temporary beach volleyball court has been added by the Freshwater Family Foundation. This is part of a local competition between businesses for a "corporate cup" series of events. It's great to see the community efforts putting that property to better use.
- Public ParticipationAn individual identifying only as a parent and voter spoke concerning the request to convert previously accrued vacation days to a cash payment for the superintendent.

- Superintendent's RemarksAndrew Johnson started as our new Principal at RCHS on Monday. He has already begun reaching out to the community. As far as the new SMS, they are testing and balancing the HVAC system and maintenance crews have been moving equipment into the building. GED Testing has been moved to RCHS from the old Office of Student Services on Madison Avenue. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony and pup rally on August 14. Refreshments will be provided by by a community partner.
