    Compensation
    Salary based on experience and education level per Roane County salary schedule. Expected range: $40,606 - $77,564.
    Health and basic life insurance provided through West Virginia's Public Employees Insurance Agency. Health insurance premiums, which vary by plan and coverage level, split 80/20 between employer and employee. Basic life insurance provided at no cost to the employee.
    Position requires enrollment in the Teachers Retirement System through West Virginia Consolidated Public Retirement Board. New enrollees contribute 6% of gross salary with a matching contribution by the Board of 7.5%. Vestment requires 10 years of qualified service. Withdraw of employee contributions available upon leaving employment with a WV county board of education if deisred.
    18 annual days of personal leave provided, pro-rated for those hired after the start of the current employment term. Up to 4 days may be used each school year without cause pursuant to state and local policies.
    Pro-rated local attendance incentive (up to $500) provided for those who use fewer than 6 days of personal leave each school year.
    Additional benefits at the employee's expense.
    Qualifications
    Must hold current authorization for Technology Systems Specialist or eligible for a temporary authorization for Technology System Specialist as defined in State Board Policy 5202. The temporary authorization shall expire on June 30 of each year. Authorization for TSS must be renewed annually, as per the requirements defined in State Board Policy 5202.
    Must posess knowledge of technology-supported curriculum and software.
    Must posess an associate’s degree or higher.
    Two basic level or one advanced level technical certification from WVDE-approved list
    Responsibilities
    Assists the Technology Coordinator with the day to day planning, scheduling, installation, supervision, and maintenance of the school and county computers, peripherals, and networks.
    Assists with the ordering and integration of all parts and peripherals.
    Assists the schools and county departments in ordering electronic related materials and bidding of furniture, supplies, paper and audio-visual and TV equipment, and other items as needed.
    Assist in the coordination of the community, college, satellite, and graduate classes with the utilization of technology related equipment within the schools.
    Assists the Technology Coordinator with network and application software.
    Perform other duties as assigned by the Technology Coordinator and/or Superintendent of Schools.
