Qualifications
- Must hold or be eligible to hold a West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate endorsed for School-Library Media.
- Must hold or be eligible to hold authorization as a Technology Integration Specialist.
- Demonstrated success as a classroom teacher is preferred.
- Demonstrated success implementing appropriate instructional technologies in classroom and distance learning environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support professional staff in developing school-based technology plan and assist teachers and other educators in the integration of technology-enhanced and technology-enabled lessons and activities.
- Manage deployment and implementation of 1-to-1 device program and other technology used in classrooms at school.
- Support teaching of literacy and research skills through direct instruction to students and operation of school library.
- Manage inventory of school library to support library operation and classroom instruction through a variety of media, including cataloged fiction and non-fiction books, novel sets, audio / visual resources, and technology-enhanced or technology-enabled resources.
- Demonstrate competency in the knowledge and implementation of technology standards.
- Demonstrate behavior that reflects established professional responsibilities (i.e. attendance, punctuality and verbal/nonverbal communication).
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and analyses as required.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal and the Superintendent.
