Qualifications
- Must attend or have attended Beginning Teacher/Mentor Training.
- Bachelor's Degree or greater or equivalent work experience in a field related to education, public administration, or communications.
- Excellent communication and human relations skills.
- Proficiency with current computer technology and data management.
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment and to be effective with and without direct supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate monthly teacher professional development sessions.
- Review teacher and administrator feedback to determine appropriate PD topics.
- Monitor participation and/or completion of required PD hours for new employees to satisfy the training requirements of the Beginning Teacher Mentor Program.
- Make annual certification to the superintendent of teachers satisfying the requirement of the Beginning Teacher Mentor Program.
- Other relevant duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
