    Qualifications

    1. Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
    2. Valid West Virginia teacher certification preferred.
    3. Familiarity with the school’s curriculum and the individual needs of the students being served at the site preferred.
    4. Employment in the grade(s) addressed by the program at this site preferred.

    Responsibilities

    1. Individually or as part of a team, facilitate "Step Up" program at assigned site and for assigned grade(s).
    2. Communicate with caregivers and students as appropriate to promote program and recruit participants.
    3. Develop activities for program centered around preparing students for upcoming school year, especially focusing on student success strategies, school rules and procedures, and student technology as appropriate.
    4. Share information with school administrators, counselors, and / or other school personnel as needed.
