SOAR Into Summer Coordinator

    Qualifications

    1. Masters Degree in education, administration or related field (preferred)
    2. Experience in educational program management and/or supervision
    3. Knowledge of afterschool and extended school programming and standards of excellence
    4. Training in the Science of Reading
    5. Experience with PBIS
    6. Excellent collaboration and communication skills

    Responsibilities

    1. Together with county leadership, work to develop, facilitate, and manage a high-quality summer program, focused on instruction, intervention, and recreation.
    2. Together with county leadership, develop program plan for each site/location, including but not limited to, recruitment and retention of staff, recruitment of students, daily schedules, emergency plans, transportation schedule, policies and procedures
    3. Provide supervision and oversight of all components of the SOAR program
    4. Collect and maintain program data and prepare program reports as necessary
    5. Maintain budget and provide fiscal oversight of the SOAR program
    6. Supervise SOAR staff, insuring compliance with SOAR program model and state and federal policies
    7. Provide professional learning and training to SOAR program staff
    8. Plan, facilitate and participate in recreational and parent engagement activities, as appropriate
    9. Maintain regular communication with county leadership, students’ families, and community stakeholders
    10. Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, and other school personnel as needed.
