Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, (Multi-Subjects K-6, K-8 Elem Ed K-6; K-5; or 1-6 required)
- Training in the Science of Reading and Numeracy, preferred
- 2+ years of experience in education or youth programming.
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations.
- First aid/CPR certification (preferred but required within the first month of employment).
- Experience with community engagement.
- Background in program evaluation (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Supervise Students
- Manages daily operations of afterschool program at assigned site.
- Supervises teachers, tutors, and volunteers.
- Coordinates with school staff and families to align the program with student needs.
- Implements curriculum and monitors student progress.
- Utilize knowledge in the Science of Reading, Mathematical Habits of Mind, and Evidence- based practices to plan and facilitate small-group instruction and intervention in ELA & Math.
- Lead small-group enrichment activities (e.g., STEM, arts) and programs that utilize the K-3 WVCCR standards.
- Plan, facilitate, and participate in recreational activities
- Ensures safety and compliance with program policies.
- Monitor student behavior and attendance.
- Administer assessments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
