Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education required
- Certificate or degree in STEAM Education required
- Deomonstrated knowledge of science, technology, engineering, arts integration, and mathematics content.
- Experience working with elementary-age students in the area of STEAM.
- Experience with coding, robotics, makerspace tools, or digital design.
- Experience implementing technology-rich instruction or digital literacy initiatives.
- Training in project-based learning or inquiry-based instruction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a rigorous, standards-aligned STEAM curriculum.
- Provide hands-on, inquiry-based instruction that promotes exploration, experimentation, and innovation.
- Incorporate technology tools such as coding programs, robotics, digital media, engineering kits, and design software.
- Plan and facilitate project-based learning activities that integrate multiple STEAM disciplines.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross-curricular integration of STEAM concepts.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages student curiosity and risk-taking.
- Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments.
- Manage STEAM classroom materials, lab equipment, and technology resources.
- Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in STEAM education.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
