Athletic Director

Must possess or be eligible to possess a West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate or Authorization for Coach.
Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working independently, as part of a team, and as part of a larger organization.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience as a school administrator, athletic coach, and/or other occupation related to athletics preferred.

Oversee and administer the operations of assigned athletic programs.
Stay familiar with and provide training and counsel to other staff on NFHS, WVSSAC, and other related rules and regulations.
Maintain information on academic eligibility, physical fitness documentation, insurance documentation, and compliance with WVSSAC rules and regulations for all students competing in interscholastic athletics under assigned school programs.
Be responsible for arranging all facets of a contest, including advertisements, scheduling with competing teams, documenting or requesting appropriate transportation for each away contest, securing officials and game staff for each home contest, and maintaining necessary adjustments to the contest schedules for all interscholastic athletics under assigned school programs.
Oversee usage of assigned athletic facilities including scheduling of events, practices, scrimmages, or other activities related to sports, and communicating with community and other third-party users.
Maintain inventory of all equipment and supplies in support of assigned interscholastic athletics programs and advise appropriate staff on purchases, storage, and maintenance of said equipment and supplies.
Represent the county and school(s), or designate individuals as such, for various meetings including but not limited to those arranged by the WVSSAC or interscholastic athletics conferences.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or the Superintendent.
