Adopted on February 7, 2019
Effective February 7, 2019
- For the purposes of these guidelines, "after school programs" shall be considered to include any activities held at a school facility outside of the instructional day and may occur before instruction has begun, after instruction has concluded, or on a day on which instruction is not scheduled or provided, including holidays, election days, weekends, and other days in which school is not in session.
- Before an after school program may operate in a school facility, the individual responsible for such program or an individual designated by an organization wishing to operate such program shall complete and submit a Request for Use of School Facilities on the form as required by the Superintendent, which may exist in digital and/or paper format.
- Any individual or organization making use of a school facility for an after school program may be responsible for the payment of services provided by a custodian, cook, or other school personnel if such is required to work outside of his/her/their usual work shift. Such charges shall be submitted on an invoice to the individual or organization in a timely manner.
- Any individual or organization that has outstanding an invoice for charges as described in Guideline 3 may be denied use of a school facility until payment for such invoice is received by the Board.
- It is the responsibility of the school facility administration to determine if a Request for Use of School Facilities should be approved or denied on the basis of scheduling and available of such facility only.
- It is in the sole discretion of the Superintendent to approve or deny a Request for Use of School Facilities on the basis of any Board policy, procedure, or other consideration not described in Guideline 5.
