    Effective February 7, 2019

    1. The Superintendent shall require all schools to maintain a continuous inventory of all textbooks, supplies, manuals, and other materials purchased or obtained as adopted primary and approved supplemental instructional materials. This inventory shall be annually submitted to the Director of Curriculum and Instructional Support and may be demanded by the Superintendent at any time.
    2. Material(s) purchased shall from time to time be reallocated between schools as needed to ensure that all teachers and students have sufficient access to these materials while ensuring the fiscal responsibility of the Board.
    3. Digital devices, including laptops, tablets, and other computers, which are issued or assigned to students under the County's 1-to-1 Device Program, shall be considered to be governed under these guidelines.
    4. Material(s) found to be damaged or destroyed such that they are no longer usable by teachers or students for instructional activities shall be restored or replaced at the responsibility of the school's general fund. Should it be found that a particular student(s) or teacher(s) is responsible for the damage or destruction of such material(s), the real cost of restoration or replacement of the same shall be invoiced to the student(s) or teacher(s) and payment demanded. Failure to pay such an invoice issued to a student may result in the revocation of privileges for the student, including the privilege to remove material(s) from the school campus. Failure to pay such an invoice issued to a teacher or other staff member may result in disciplinary action, possibly up to and including termination.
