    1. Positively Charged

      Grayson Watson and Dylan Hammack, students at Roane County High School, were recognized for serving as Honorary West Virginia Secretaries of State at the Capitol in Charleston.

      New student desks and chairs have arrived in select classrooms at Geary and Walton Elementary Middle Schools. Desks and chairs have also been ordered for select classrooms at Spencer Middle School. These desks were selected because they allow students enough room to work on a laptop, read from a book, and take notes at the same time. The desks can also be grouped together to form a larger workspace for group work and projects.

      Keith Delk, Lori Holbert, and Kevin Hall spoke in support of Annette Claypool, current Principal at Geary Elementary Middle School.

      Lori May, teacher at Walton Elementary Middle School, spoke on her concerns about the affects of the 2019-20 personnel realignment.

      Gemini Carpenter, parent of a student(s) at Roane County High School, spoke in support of keeping Kari Mullen at RCHS.

      Jackie Durst, Principal at Spencer Middle School, spoke in support of keeping the Assistant Principal position at SMS.

    2. Update on 2018-19 School CalendarMotion by Gregory Boggs and seconded by Jeffrey Tanner to convert the OS day on March 22nd to an instructional day to make up for the missed day on Monday, March 4. Motion carried. (6:58 pm)
