  6. Superintendent's Remarks1. We hosted an education forum on Monday. We received some good feedback from the public and a few of our local legislators were there. The information gathered will be compiled into a format we can share. There are still other forums to attend. 2. The results of the Educators Voice survey have been announced. There will be a county level report and the WVDE will try to indicate the results of the county and the amount of people that participated. Statewide, teachers are looking for more support personnel, even librarians or specialists in the schools for assistance so they can focus more on instruction. Principals are requesting more training on instructional leadership, teacher coaching, and school finance. 3. In addition to the annual Principal's Academy, there will now be an Academy where principals with experience will receive additional training on some of the changes in operations over the years.Motion by Jeffrey Tanner and seconded by Gregory Boggs to adjourn until the next regular meeting on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 6:00 PM at Roane County High School. The Board will return from recess for the Special Meeting on April 16, 2019, at 6:00 PM at the Roane County Board of Education offices in Spencer, WV. Motion carried. (10:53 pm)
