Dr. Duncan was re-appointed as Vice Chair. Switched contractors on the current SBA project. The contractor that was originally awarded the bid later decided they could not do the work. SBA funding was approved for the new roof and a new water treatment plant for next year.
  6. Superintendent's RemarksFor the Math4Life Series, a speaker, Dr. Bill Daggett, spoke concerning how the world is moving quickly into automation and how we need to prepare our students for the jobs in the future instead of jobs that may no longer be available in the future. It is important to teach kids how to become good quality human beings who can learn and adapt. Administrators and principals will meet on the 29th to kick off the new school year. We will be visiting middle schools in Cabell County, Brooke County, and Harrison County this week. They have 3 of the newer middle schools in the state and may be good models for what we could see in a new building. This will help gauge what our new school could look like on the inside and give us a feel of what we can offer kids with a new building that we could not offer them now.
