    1. Positively ChargedAll-state Sports winners have been announced and we will be recognizing all of them at a future meeting. To name just a few, Briar Begler made 2nd Team Captain, Toby Copen 1st Team, Offensive line, and Amber Drennen is on the North-South Team. Also, we now have a new page for the new Spencer Middle School containing rendering we last presented and it will be updated as the project progresses.

    1. Roane Jackson Technical Center Administrative Council (12/14/2021)There was a Christmas lunch. We discussed embedded credit and rehired a custodian we recently lost, but then lost another LPN instructor. We will be looking for an RN to teach the course.
    2. Staff Development Councils (12/6/2021)The councils discussed Master-Mentor Teacher qualifications and details of the position, planning periods, more curriculum training, and staff development.
  7. Superintendent's RemarksWe have hired bus operators as substitute maintenance workers to address the concerns about the cleanup we need at our schools. We are still struggling to find an electrician/HVAC worker. At conferences last week, the social-emotional well-being of staff continues to be the concern for many and we are all looking for better ways to recruit and retain our staff. With the legislative session is around the corner, the superintendents have put together a list of priorities. At the top of the list is a change the state aid formula to allocate more funding for special education needs such as teachers and aides. We also ask for more money to be provided for SBA facilities projects. The State Superintendent has endorsed a plan to fund aides in 1st and 2nd grades.
