Policy AG 223iii - Weighted Courses

Effective February 7, 2019
- For the purposes of computing a student's grade point average, all courses not listed in these guidelines shall be considered "not weighted."
- The following courses shall be considered "weighted:" AP Calculus, AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP Environmental Science, AP Government and Politics, and AP United States History.
- Any course offered as dual-credit with an institution of higher education and that provides an opportunity for the student to earn college credit shall be considered "weighted," so long as the student earns such credit. Should the student not earn college credit as a result of his/her enrollment in such a course, the course shall be considered "not weighted" for that student.
- These guidelines shall be enforced beginning with the 9th-grade cohort of 2018-19.
