    Policy AG 230iii - Activities Sponsored by Community Volunteers

    Effective February 7, 2019

    1. As all co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are required to be sponsored by Board employees under AG 230.i, activities sponsored by community volunteers are limited to those that do not have a direct or indirect tie to the County's curricular or extra-curricular programs.
    2. Community volunteers wishing to sponsor activities in school facilities must comply with the requirements for requesting use of such facilities under AG 228.i and submit to the requirements for screening of volunteers who wish to act with unsupervised per RCBOE Policy 310.
    3. Nothing shall prevent a community volunteer from working with a Board employee to support a co-curricular or extra-curricular activity sponsored by that Board employee.
